The 1977 Tedotian Revolution was a Revolution in Tedotia that took place between the 14th February, 1977 after the Benton Uprising by the Republicans due to the increasing instability of th Tedotian Kingdom after the wars with Socianesia to the 25th July, 1977 after Tom Van Der Steen, leader of the Royal government fled the country and the Republican armies seized control of Tedotia City.

The revolution started after the increasing instability of the Tedotian Kingdom after the 1971 Tedotian Coup and the Socia-Tedo Wars of the mid-70s. Former Military Brigadier-General Alden Leencurch formed the Tedotian Republican Movement in 1976, which immediately gained mass-support across Tedotia, and after the further destabilization of Tedotia after the second war with Socianesia, the Republicans led an uprising in Benton, Woodhead Island, and with the military mostly stationed in Socianesia the Republican armies quickly took control of Benton, Stepford, Llyn and Avonhill.

With many members of the TRM being former officers, soldiers and generals in the Tedotian military, fed up due to most them having supported the 1971 Coup, with these advantages, guerrrillas in Tilted Towers and even Banana Island would seize control of the mountains with expert tactics, giving them the high ground to fight off the Tedotian government. The Tedotian king, Jonesy II and PM, Tom Van Der Steen immediately conscripted many inexperienced and disloyal men to fight the TRM, though they would be outnumbered and defeated by the increasingly more popular TRM, with more people joined the fight due to the skepticism on the monarchy, mostly after the Reenmen Regime of 1957 to 1963.

As Republican troops would capture Fierra in June, Tom Van Der Steen, fearing capture by the Republicans would flee to the UAE, and with this further weakening the government forces the Republicans would easily capture Tedotia City and depose the king, with Leencurch establishing a provisional council who would rule until the elections the same year, which Leencurch would win.

Whilst the king was stripped of his power, yet he was allowed to keep the title of king and allowed to represent Tedotia along with Leencurch. The TRM, now renamed the Tedotian Republican Party would lead the government, though Leencurch would have almost all the power and arrested any royalist opposition against him after the Revolution, making him an autocrat. Despite this, he would heavily improve the economy of Tedotia, helping it become a developed county in 1979.

Leencurch would eventually be assassinated by a group of royalists due to him rigging elections, with the vice president of Tedotia taking over until another leader of the TRM in the revolution, Thomas Van Der Ven couped their government and once again became the dictator of Tedotia until 1990, when he was overthrown and free elections would be held for the first time in 13 years, though Hans Van Sassen would eventually win, becoming the worst dictator of Tedotia in terms of death count until 2002.
