- 6 January: 1,725 million people tune in to watch Erno Pulkkinen give a press conference to announce another lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- 8 January: 924 000 tune into DTV 1 to watch the new series of Haluatko miljonääriksi?. Two contestants walk away with 1 250 000 Kr each.
- 3 February: DTV revives The DTV Show every Wednesday at 20:00.
- 3 May: DTV 1 premieres hit cookery game show Kello kaksi pöytää. It gets exported around the world as For Tables at Two.
- 20 May: Dryicor's Eurovision Song Contest entry, "A Foot Broke the Frame" by The Home Cleaners, surprises many by not even progressing past the semi-finals.
- 21 May: Måneskin, Daði Freyr and Blind Channel perform on The Ercole Mäkkinen Show, with strong performances.
- 22 May: Dryicor's Eurovision jury votes give 12 to France's entry and 0 to Italy's winning entry, while the televote gave 12 to Finland and 10 to Italy.
- Ercole Mäkkinen: "Now for the fun bit... just how much were our votes apart... you did it, guys! You went completely against the jury!"
