American System Network (ASN) (also known as American System Broadcasting in some occasions ) is an American commercial television network that is the main channel of Entertainment Holdings giving Sports, News, Movies and Series, being competitor of UWN and RKO.
Its facilities and offices are located in ASN California (Los Angeles, California), ASN National Studio (New York, NY), ASN Bay Area Studio (San Francisco, California), ASN Mundo Discovery (Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas) and ASN Home Studios (Anchorage, Alaska).
ASN was founded on February 2, 1953 and is the fifth youngest of the major American "Big Six". Is also known as America Star Network due to having many stars spent on the channel. The network has 22 owned-and-operated stations, 232 affiliates throught the United States and international channels in Asia, Spain, Mexico (under TMXB), Latin America (excluding Mexico, under ASN LA), Europe (ASN Europe), United Kingdom and Ireland (Under Nine).
In 2022 it was the fifth most viewed network in the USA
History[]
In 1935 the brothers Alan and William were born but in the 1940s their father wanted to make a chain called States Broadcasting Television but in 1942 when the chain could not stand by WW2, after that the chain could not stand.
In 1953, after competition from ABC, CBS, NBC, RKO and UWN, the brothers wanted to fulfill their father's dream. After that, with the help of their friends and some CBS workers, they created a TV network
On February 2, 1953, the television network began broadcasting at 6:00 a.m. with the Indian head, at 9:00 a.m. it began with a commercial for Chevrolet

It was black and white and the first series was ASN News and then it was Happy Day. In 1954, in New York, the house of the brothers, which was the garage, was moved to the ASN Studio Original studios. By 1957 he was considered a big four (now Big Six); During the 60s and 70s, ASN created a national hegemony for series such as Malon, Happy Day, Super Hero, etc. It ended in the 80s when ASN launched a UK series.
During the 1950s and 1960s, when rival networks NBC and CBS were ready to broadcast in color, ASN was approved by the Federal Communications Group (FCC) and RCA to transition to full-color transmission, by August ASN was ready. ready and for August 18 ASN Broadcast in full color with the series The Mans. From 1990 to 2010 ASN gained The FIFA World Cup but lost the rights. by 1995 he launched one of the most important award galas called ASN Show Awards. by August 18, 2000 ASN broadcasted its content in HD, in 2009 the network changed its format to 16: 9, and later for 2022, the network upgraded its content in 4K. In 2012, Fuffy Sur-based Grupo Mundo Inc bought ASN Media for the sum of $134 million USD, being one of the most important purchases in the USA. In 2016, The network launched 2 most important series gaining good reviews and winning awards called The American Deads and The Massacre.
By 2016 Discovery Inc. bought Fuffy Sur-based Grupo Mundo (Entertainment Holdings' parent company) Inc for the sum of $200 million USD being one of the largest purchases. After 13 long years, ASN changed its logo to a simplified one. This came out for the first time in Asia At 5:00 AM (HKT), while the U.S.channel changed its branding to a new one after the broadcast of American Deads, the logo was made of many jokes and a little hate for changing the logo because the previous one had already gotten used to it but many liked it.
On demand services were also relaunched such as ASN On demand and ASN on Hulu, and later in 2022 ASN launched 3 streaming services one of those is ASN +. On March 2022 ASN did a rebrand in conjunction with Trollbäck + Company, giving a fresh new image similar to 2009 but with new lyrics etc. The rebrand arrived on March 12, it was also applied in Sports, News and MSNASN, The seasons were also relaunched.
By 2022 Discovery Inc bought WarnerMedia (formerly TimeWarner) after that The CW and ASN They entered into a partnership, and Cartoon Network series were introduced into ASN's childen's block , but the Nickelodeon series are still there due to the agreement that lasts until 2025. The slogan "Your Channel is ASN" lasted 1 year due to the change to We Love TV. The screen format would only be available at 16:9 (on SD, HD and UHD resolutions).
The logo has an animation with the the "Circle Star" and the font is a custom one, while on air, in advertising and secondary logos it uses Nunito Sans.
ASN (U.S.), The UP (Fuffy North) and Flash (Fuffy Middle) launched a service in 2023 to replace ASN+ called Eair.
On march 21, 2021, on the ASN's 70th Anniversary meeting, the network's new logo was confirmed since many said that ASN Stars Type resembled Dragon Ball which is somewhat ironic since ASN never gave Anime. One Day Later the logo is shown that was a combination of 2004, 2022 And 1978. The name of American System Network used in the idents also returned.
Secondary channels such as as ASN 2 (U.S.) now ASN Two (UK and Ireland) opted to use the previous "2 Numeral" used on BBC Two; while the promos were inspired by Bravo's chat. ASN Life and ASN Choice rebranded as Life Women, ASN Three and S Max
ASN Also relanuched ASN News and ASN Sports also NFL, MLS, NBA, MLB etc. They were with a look similar to CBS Sports; while during the Oscars ASN After a year, ASN changed the logo to a new simplified one.
The Logo was made by Nolu Designer in collaboration with Trollbäck & Company, Antfood, Superunion and Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv.
ASN News (MSNASN) and ASN Sports rebranded, while ASR (ASN's radio station) was launched); ASN's social platforms as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook were rebranded.
At the same time a new slogan was made called The New Channel, said slogan means that is a new era for the channel. the ASN U.S. TV stations were also rebranded. A remaster of the 1972 asn sound was also made which used an ident and on NFL On ASN.
International channels such as ASN Latin America (Excluding Mexico due to the availability of TMXB), Europe and Canada confirmed that it would arrive on March 14.
