Trivia[]

  • Production delays on Oscar: The Biggest Disaster Movie, Muppets On The Run and The Bear in the Big Blue House Movie caused much of the regular Muppeteers to remain in New Zealand for filming, forcing the Jim Henson Company and Sesame Workshop to hire "P.R. doubles" to do promotional work (such as Duncan Sweetman, who performed Elmo for certain P.R. work and two home videos taped in New York while Kevin Clash was in New Zealand). This video and Bear's Party for YOU were shot in New Zealand on the movie sets using borrowed equipment and flown-in Sesame Street staff members to fulfill a licensing agreement with Kideo.
  • The running gag of Louis the otter being confused with Elmo's dad Louie was Kristian "Crystal" Michaels' idea, and was based off a dream she had.
  • A DVD version of the video was released in 2010. In the 2010 version, the credits were re-written to consolidate both the Kideo and Sesame Workshop crew members into one list to avoid mentioning Kideo.
