Active Extra is a spin-off of active, an Engarian infotainment show. The show currently airs on TWO TV, airing every Saturday at 6:00 pm. It features the same crew as the main show, except this time active extra shows the most exclusive places in the world, the most special people, and what happens in the background of the strangest news. Unlike its main show, active extra usually takes a summer break for a few weeks before returning at the end of the summer.

History

Active Extra launched on November 8th, 1997, just a week after it's main show (Active) was launched. The first broadcast aired on TWO TV (known as Channel Two at the time) at 18:00pm.

On December 13th, 2003, Active Extra had an exclusive report on Toylandia, following high tensions with Engary. In one of the clips of the report, one of the reporters of the show (Andy Parker) was detained by the toylandian police for several days whilst trying to film the report.

In 2011, Active extra rebranded with a new look, to coincide with the move of broadcasting in HD, just like Active.

In December 2012, active extra partnered up with the Engarian ecumenical relief organization to air fundraising special editions of the show. It was held annually since then.

According to one of the presenters of the show (Charlotte Rose), she said that "The goal for these fundraising special editions, we have to raise as money as we possibly can."

However, fundraising special editions don't just air especially before Christmas, active extra also helps by regularly collecting donations for the Brave Camp.

It will also collect donations, with the help of the largest Engarian aid organizations, the Engarian ecumenical relief organization, the Engarian red cross, and many others due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The special edition of the show aired on April 11th, 2020.
