Ai Uehara (上原亜衣 Uehara Ai; February 4, 1902-August 8, 1995) was an El Kadsreian doctor and pharmacist who was best known for inventing the famous soft drink Panchi.
Ai Uehara originally invented Panchi when she was taking a pharmaceuticals class at the Fusa University, where she was attempting to recreate the Indian Banta soft drink, which resulted in the creation of Panchi (which she originally called Ranchi, after the Indian city she first discovered Banta in) in 1926.
