All Night is a single by Kuboian recording artist Violet Stars. It serves as the fourth single from her debut studio album Who is She?, and was released as a single on 29th May, 2005. The song features vocals from Lanolin Railyatri, who sings the pre-chorus and chorus - it is Railyatri's debut appearance on a song.

"All Night" peaked at number one on the Karuboia charts on 3rd July, 2005, spending seven weeks at the top of the charts. The song later went on to become the best-selling single in Kuboia that year. As of 2020, it is ranked 15th in Karuboia's list of best-selling singles in Kuboia of all-time.

Although she enjoyed making the song, and cited it as one of her favourites, Violet has cited the immense popularity of "All Night" as one of the main factors contributing towards the excessive stress she suffered in 2005 and 2006.

Background

"All Night" was produced by German record producer Pro-Truce, though the piano sound effects on the song was done by Chloe Wallace. The lyrics were co-written by Chloe, alongside Bryn Christine, Tone Riddles and Skyler Hidding. Violet recorded an early version of the song in February 2005, and originally sang the hook herself, but didn't think it sounded well. Later, in April that year, Violet tried finding somebody who could appear as a guest feature on the song before the role was eventually given to Lanolin Railyatri.

Although the vocals on the song had been recorded, Violet did not feel motivated to shoot a music video (Violet's close friend and collaborator Aourine Esthers had recently died), so a video for the song did not premiere until over a month after its original release.

"All Night" has a key of B flat major, with a tempo of 131 bpm.

Music video

The music video was shot during the evening of 30th June, 2005 and was released the following day (1st July).
