Ang Ikatlo (lit. The Third) is a regional terrestrial television channel in YinYangia, specifically dedicated to Filipinos living in the country. It was launched in 1971. It airs Filipino diaspora, along with original programming.

History

YinYang 3 was launched on January 1st, 1971, as TBC3. It was the first and only YinYang channel with Filipino/Tagalog audio. The channel was only broadcast in English after the launch. After the large influx of Filipinos immigrating to YinYangia, it started to broadcast in Filipino/Tagalog in 1978.

Idents

The Station ID was like two blue threes are joining and turning into a gold three and the TBC logo pops out at the bottom. But this ident started in 1973 and discontinued in 1979. And started using a new set of idents.

English Language Dissovasion

On May 7, 1992, TBC ceased all English language transmissions in TBC3, and became a Tagalog-only channel.

National Television Corporation Affiliation

After TBC's split up in 1999, TBC 3 changed its name to NTVC Filipino.

Modern Day

With NTVC and VoY's merger in 2006, NTVC Filipino was renamed to Ang Ikatlo (lit. The Third), due to the fact that this is the third channel.
