Animalization are an American heavy metal band, formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1986. Following the departure of lead guitarist Joey Graves in 2014, the group has continued without any of its founding members, though frontwoman and lead singer Tammy Csokas has been featured on every Animalization album.
Known for their elaborate costumes and visual appearance, Animalization's core thematic and visual concept revolves around an elaborate xenofiction-themed mythology which portrays the band members as animal warriors from a magical kingdom "somewhere in Western Europe", a narrative which serves as the basis for all of the band's albums, videos, live shows and other media.
