Asian dramas (also known as Asianovelas) based on Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, Thai, Qualician, Singaporean and Vietnamese romantic and non-romantic novels have been popular in Taguaran since 1978 with a popular Japanese drama Ooka Echizen and Vlokozu Union (now El Kadsre) since 1979, Alexonia since 1981, Mahri since 1982, Barokia since 1983, North El Kadsre since 1984, Sentan since 1985, Vicnora since 1986 and Hokushi since 1987. Many Asian, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese and Thai dramas air with English-dubbed or subbed on many UEKN TV channels. Most of Asian dramas were dubbed in English by Power Network and other dubbing studios. Asian movies were also airs on this nation.
