At is a video-sharing website based in Japan.

Launched in 2001, the site was a precursor to YouTube.

As of 2019, over 56 trillion videos have been uploaded to the site, while the first 100 were uploaded during its first month of activity.

The player is more powerful than YouTube's, so the longest video on there still works.

Alpha (2000 - 2001)

It was programmed as an HTML file in 2001 by Daidekou Hamasaki.

The site looked severely different from the final product, as it was instead in Gill Sans and had a different layout.

It also had a Flash player.

She also made an account named "TAproductions".

Launch & Golden Era (2001 - 2004)

The launch of At was successful with 100 videos being uploaded each month of activity.

In 2002, the logo was updated and a new website layout appeared once again.

In 2003, the digital currency was added to At named Tabucks.

It would be used as a replacement for real money and would be earned by doing several things.

In 2004, the Flash Player was replaced with its own player.

Modern (2005 - present)

The last logo ever made for At was made in January of 2005, there is a new layout once again, and HD quality was introduced.
