Barney's Theatre is a show at the Disneyland Australia Resort in Holsworthy, New South Wales, Australia. It is based off the American TV series Barney & Friends, and the attraction is heavily inspired by the Barney Home Video installment Come on Over to Barney's House. It debuted in 2001 and originally was performed in the Barney Theatre (now the Wacky Playhouse Theatre) in Mickey's Toontown of Disneyland Sydney, but in 2005 was moved to Studio Playground at Disney's Studio Park. A new version of the show was made in 2006 to add Riff.
At Disneyland Sydney, the show was sponsored by Hungry Jack's. At Disney's Studio Park, the show was sponsored by Eagle Boys from 2005-2012 and by Coles from 2013-present.
History
Prior to the attraction opening, Barney, Baby Bop and BJ had appeared in Disneyland Sydney's opening day celebration, Disneyland Sydney: A Grand Opening for the Ages, on February 11, 2000, which fueled speculation among the amusement park community and journalists that they were to have an attraction at Disneyland Sydney. This speculation was confirmed in 2001 when Barney's Theatre opened in Mickey's Toontown, to positive reviews from critics and guests, and becoming the second-most popular attraction in the area.
In 2005, the attraction moved to Studio Playground at Disney's Studio Park in time for the park's opening day, and in 2006 a new version of the show debuted.
In 2011, the theater got a renovation to allow for easier handicap access, but the show itself didn't change. Additional renovations were made in 2018 to connect it to Mattel Play! Town Sydney, but the show itself didn't change.
In 2020, the show's cast entrance was re-routed to make way for future expansion.

The show begins with Barney welcoming the audience to his house. He is then joined by some human friends, followed by B.J. and Baby Bop. They then engage in a sing-along and imagination revue with the audience.
2006-Present Show
Same as before, but with two additional songs and Riff is added.

Trivia
- The original audio track (featuring Tim Dever/Duncan Brannan as Barney and different music) is still occasionally used as a backup track in case the new audio track (featuring Dean Wendt as Barney) stops working (though this results in Riff being absent).
- Both versions of the show were written by Douglas Sloan and Ann Knapp with assistance from Barney & Friends writer Stephen White.
- The license for this attraction is actually controlled by Great Australian Resorts and not Disney. Walt Disney Imagineering, however, did work on this stage show with assistance from the Barney & Friends creative team at HiT Entertainment.
- Part of the stage in the original performance location at Disneyland Sydney was actually used for the park's opening celebration event in 2000, and then soon installed in Barney's Theatre as a cost-cutting measure.
- Duncan Brannan also voiced Mortimer Mouse during the opening celebration, since Maurice LaMarche was unavailable at the time.
- Canadian voice actor Enyu Ni performed as the human "Edward" at times in the original version when he was a castmember at Disneyland Sydney from 2000-2002.
- The "Running Man" EXIT signs used in the Disney's Studio Park theatre for the attraction are customized with Barney replacing the stick figure.
- Ton-That Uyen played Baby Bop on several occasions for the attraction during it's time in Disneyland Sydney, while Masoja Roberts and Trent Gaughey performed Barney several times during their tenures at the park.
