Barney and Friends is an American children's television series aimed at children aged 1 to 8, created by Sheryl Leach and produced by HIT Entertainment.

In Kuboia, the show began airing on Nick Jr. Kuboia in August 1996. Episodes continued to be aired on the channel multiple times a day until December 2002. The show premiered on KT on 7 September 1998 and aired on the channel until its demise in November 2008.

Due to KT's closure, seasons 12 and 13 never aired in the country until the show began airing on Tooncast in August 2016.
