Barokian Democratic Party (Barokian: Parti Demokrasi Barokia; abbreviated officially as BDP/PDB) is a social democratic and democratic-socialist political party in Barokia. It is one of the country's major political parties, and is currently the ruling party, with Tuja Salim serving as Prime Minister of Barokia and National Chairwoman of the party. It is the leading party of the Perkatan Kemajuan (PK) alliance, which governed Barokia from 2009 to 2012 and again since 2020; Tuja Salim also serves as parliamentary leader of the alliance.
The party was founded in 1948 as the Belgian Indies Democratic Party by Mustafa Mahmud Wass as an anti-colonial split from the Belgian Indies Labour Party. The party gained its current name upon Barokia's 1959 independence. The BDP/PDB primarily draws support from lower-income individuals, urban families and trade unions. Although a nonsectarian party, its demographic base includes a noticeable share of Christian, Sunni and Shia voters.
