Blue Cat Idol is an American anime-styled web series created by Matt "Mattzo" Kagami for YouTube. The series revolves around three high school students—Nicole Coolburg, Kate Shovels, and Sara Barcelona—who try to form a rock band despite facing discrimination for being human–animal hybrids.
The show originated from a viral animated short film Kagami posted on his YouTube channel in July 2017, and it was announced that a web series was in development in October.[1] The first season was released on October 5, 2018 and, due to positive reception, it was followed by a second season that was released October 11, 2019. As of February 2021, four seasons have been released.

In a world where humans co-exist with human–animal hybrids, teenagers Nicole Coolburg, Kate Shovels, and Sara Barcelona try to start a rock band in their hometown of Arc City, a city in Northern Florida.
