Broadcast history

2019–2020: PBT Kids

Bluey was broadcast from November 3, 2019 to February 6, 2020 on PBT Kids. The show was broadcast every night from 5:00 to 6:00 PM and was rated Y.[1] PBT Kids described the show as a "great show to teach children about the world they live in" on their website.

On February 7, 2020, the schedule was changed. Instead, Bluey was broadcast from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.[2]

2020: Broadcast ban

Throughout Bluey's run on PBT Kids, the channel's parent company, PBT, Inc., received complaint letters and emails from Andean parents, complaining about the scatological humor and sexual references.[3][4][5]

On February 14, 2020, Bluey was banned from Andean television by the Government Communications Agency (GCA), and all references to the show on PBT Kids' website were removed.[6] Its time slot on PBT Kids was replaced by The Funyums.[7]

2020–present: Edgy Foreigners and EyeWatch

On May 3, 2020, one day after Dexter Media Television, the owners of the AdultZoom, came to an agreement with the GCA, the Bluey ban. On June 10, 2020, it was broadcast on AdultZoom's Edgy Foreigner block. It was rated T for "crude humor, mild suggestive themes".[8][9] The show also began being marked as an adult series.

On June 19, 2020 ViacomCBS Andere announced that Bluey would also be available on EyeWatch starting July 15.[10]
