"Bring You Down" is a single written by Ericka Streets, Philip Mannsåker and DJ Kubin, and performed by Kuboian singer Xyam Cranberry. Originally written in 2003, the song was originally going to be recorded by Streets before scrapping the song due to feeling it did not fit her. The song was later given to Cranberry, who recorded it for his debut album October Nights. It was released on 15th October, 2006, serving as the second single for the album.

Composition[]

A europop song, "Bring You Down", according to co-writer Ericka Streets, is about keeping your head up and thinking positively in difficult times. The song is written in the key of E flat major, and has a tempo of 122 beats per minute.

Critical reception[]

An Open Eagle article labelled "Bring You Down" as one of the standout tracks on October Nights, citing it as "a catchy, motivating tune with an upbeat 80s/90s vibe" though it criticised the B-side track, "What I Do", calling it "obvious filler".
