The Kuboian version of Burger King is a localised version of the American restaurant of the same name. The first Burger King in the country opened in Reichetto in September 1991.
After a very similar fast food chain, Top Whopper, was bought by Restaurant Brands International in 2017, it was announced that all Burger King restaurants will be closed in Kuboia by 2019. On 13th June, 2019, it was announced that the last Burger King in the country in Reichetto (which was coincidentally the first to be opened) will be closed in August of that year. However, it continued operating despite the announcement. After a delay of five months, it officially closed on 2nd February, 2020.
