The first COVID-19 case in El Kadsre was reported on January 19.
El Kadsre was one of the least affected countries at only 23 cases out of an national population of 62,751,024, only 4 people died
Timeline
January 2020
On January 19, 2020, the El Kadsreian government confirmed its first coronavirus case in West Cliffstown. The person with the coronavirus was a Basque-El Kadsreian woman named Linda Narvaez. She committed suicide by hanging shortly after being tested positive for the virus, and her body was cremated away from civilization to prevent spreading of the disease. In response, the El Kadsreian government also temporarily halted travel to China and ordered all El Kadsreian companies with factories in China to move production of their products elsewhere to prevent contamination and the spread of the coronavirus.
February 2020
In the early morning hours of February 2, 2020, the El Kadsreian government completed the conversion of an abandoned United States Peace Corps office in the Lechutan territory into an 1,000-bed hospital named Lechutan Coronavirus Quarantine Hospital, which began receiving patients from Indonesia and China at 11:00 AM El Kadsreian time the same day.
On February 5, 2020, the El Kadsreian government began the process of converting a vacant office building in Tennjo in the Hokushi territory into a 1,600-bed hospital named Tennjo Coronavirus Quarantine Hospital.
On February 8, 2020, an El Kadsreian sibling photographer duo who visited Wuhan tested positive for the coronavirus and were quarantined for isolation at the El Kadsre Medical Center. They both recovered by March 2, 2020 and have been released into self-quarantine.
On February 11, 2020, the El Kadsreian government completed the E.K.C. Area Coronavirus Quarantine Hospital in Sanbe.
On February 12, 2020, El Kadsre City's government, in cooperation with the El Kadsreian Red Cross Society and Blue Cross Blue Shield El Kadsre, shipped 55,000 face masks and a set of other personal protective equipment to their sister city Xi'an.
On February 15, 2020, the Tibetan Freedom Society of El Kadsre assisted the El Kadsreian Red Cross Society and the Jazilan Red Lion and Sun Society with shipping face masks and personal protective equipment to the Tibet Autonomous Region.
On February 19, 2020, a Air El Kadsre flight chartered by the Royal El Kadsreian Air Force and operated using a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 evacuated 109 people from Wuhan: 100 El Kadsreians, 5 Americans, 3 Venezuelans and 1 Algerian. Upon arrival, the El Kadsreians were quarantined at an abandoned U-Haul center near Cicmpillici, while the Americans were then sent to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, the Venezuelans were sent to Caracas for quarantine at the Villa del Cine in Guarenas, and the sole Algerian was sent to Béjaïa for self-quarantine at his home.
On February 25, 2020, two of the quarantined El Kadsreians tested positive for the coronavirus, and were immediately sent to be isolated at the German Hospital of Cicmpillici. On the same day, another Air El Kadsre flight chartered by the Royal El Kadsreian Air Force, this time operated with a Airbus A350 XWB, rescued 98 persons from Wuhan: being 93 El Kadsreians and five Canadians. They were quarantined at the E.K.C. Area Coronavirus Quarantine Hospital.
March 2020
On March 5, 2020, both of the infected quarantined El Kadsreians at the German Hospital of Cicmpillici recovered and were released into self-quarantine.
On March 8, 2020, a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III of the Royal El Kadsreian Air Force evacuated 100 El Kadsreian expatriates and rescued 12 Italians from Italy. The plane was flown to El Kadsre's Seahaus territory where they were placed under quarantine at an industrial park in Southport.
On March 9, 2020, all El Kadsreian theme parks were ordered to close until July 8. El Kadsre Disneyland Resort was allowed to continue construction but only construction workers are allowed on site.
On March 10, 2020, a Royal El Kadsreian Air Force Lockheed C-5 Galaxy evacuated 55 El Kadsreians from Iran.
On March 11, 2020, the Royal El Kadsreian Air Force arranged five charter flights to bring back 600 El Kadsreians from Spain and Italy. Upon arrival, they were quarantined at a track & field complex in Quere. The flights were operated by Air El Kadsre, Ryanair and Lechutan Airlines, with McDonnell Douglas DC-10, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft respectively.
On March 14, 2020, the fifth case was announced, a 57-year-old electrician who visited South Korea.
On March 15, 2020, all El Kadsreian restaurants were ordered to operate by way of drive-thru and take-out only. But then all closing restarurants until April 27.
On March 17, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura announced the closure of El Kadsre's borders to all but United El Kadsreian Nations citizens and residents, which comes into effect after 11:59pm on Tuesday night.
On March 20, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura announced the formation of the El Kadsreian Commission for the Resurrection of Normality, dedicated to helping out other affected countries in the inevitable aftermath of the pandemic.
On March 23, 2020, it was announced that the 57-year old man had recovered.
On March 26, 2020, El Kadsre was placed on lockdown, meaning that anything that wasn't necessary (non-automated TV & radio stations, certain stores, important jobs [fire, police, supermarket and drug store employees for example] and political offices) were closed until May.
On March 29, 2020, the University of El Kadsre's Lethal Disease Research & Eradication Unit announced they had created a COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine candidate. Unlike other COVID-19 vaccine candidates, it would be delivered by pill (a la Vivotif) instead of needle.
April 2020
On April 6, 2020 at 7:00pm, special broadcast by Queen Elizabeth II (Her Majesty of Commonwealth) in relation to the coronavirus outbreak simlucast by every El Kadsreian channel including all El TV Kadsre channels (barring ETVKK & ETVKPS), Banushen Television, RGN, RTV, Viva, Channel Two, all KadsreTV stations, CPN One, CPN Two, CTS, TTV, Star TV, SBS, ITV and TV6.
On April 11, 2020, Andrew Kayos controversially stated in Parliament that "in the words of Michael Gove, people have had enough of experts, however this time it's because of them constantly shoving hope of the way by stating their gloomy predictions for when they think the pandemic will end or what they think is gonna be the length of the wait for a cure or vaccine."
On April 18, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura announced that effective April 27 they will begin reopening the economy, and Ryo announced that the government was developing an emergency plan to be enacted in case of a second wave.
On April 26, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura announced lockdown ended at May 11 move down to level 2.
On April 28, 2020, it was announced that all theme parks would reopen starting in late May.
May 2020
On May 11, 2020, Vincent McLaren announced level 2 that all reopen starting in May 14 and all schools and colleges would reopen starting in September.
On May 14, 2020, all cafes, resturants, gyms, playground and others public venues would reopen at level 2.
On May 16, 2020, all theme parks would reopen at level 2.
On May 24, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura raised the limits on social gatherings including religious services, weddings, and funerals, which total 6 recovered into effect at 1pm on May 29. McLaren and Kimura also announced that Cabinet of El Kadsre would consider a decision to move into alert level 1 on June 8.
June 2020
On June 1, 2020, there were no cases, recoveries, or deaths; the cases remained at 6 confirmed (about of last April).
One June 4, 2020, Prime Minister Vincent McLaren and President Ryo Kimura announced that El Kadsre move down to level 1. Alert level 1 would involve the elimination of social distancing restrictions on shops, restrictions, public transportation and public gatherings including religious services, funerals, weddings and community sports events. However, event organisers would have to ensure contact tracing. McLaren and Kimura also outlined the "golden rules" for level 1:
- If you are sick, stay home.
- If you have cold or flu-like symptoms get tested.
- Wash your hands.
- Sneeze and cough into your elbow.
- Be kind to others and yourself.
All cinemas (e.g., drive-in cinemas) and theatres would reopen at level 1 on June 13.
On June 15, 2020, the seventh case was reported, a 30-year-old man who vistied UK.
On June 17, 2020, one new case was reported, bringing the number of active cases to two and total 8 cases. The new case was a 50-year-old man who vistied UK.
On June 19, 2020, the eleventh cases was announced, a 60-year-old woman, a 60-year old man, and a 20-year old man who vistied UK. The three new cases were a people in the West Health Board who had returned on an United Kingdom.
On June 20, 2020, the twelfth case was reported, a 2-year old child has one new cases.
On June 21, 2020, the fourteen case was reported, with two new reported 2 cases of people who visited Italy and Helvmark.
On June 22, 2020, two new cases were reported, bringing the total number of active cases to 15 after one person recovered.
On June 25, 2020, the twentieth case was reported. The person visited India. The five new cases reported resulted from overseas travels.
On June 28, 2020, the five new international travel-related cases were reported, bringing the total number of active cases to 25.
On June 29, 2020, the no new international travel-related cases were reported. Ryo Kimura announced European Union allowing El Kadsreians travel to Europe on July 1, the COVID-19 safe countries including Australia, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
On June 30, 2020, the tenth new international travel-related case was reported, bringing the total number of active cases to 35.
July 2020
On July 1 to 4, 2020, the no new international travel-related cases were reported and 15 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 20.
On July 5, 2020, one new case was reported and 15 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 21 who visited Thailand.
On July 8, 2020, five new international travel-related cases were reported and 15 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 26. Prime Minister Vincent McLaren has confirmed that the El Kadsre Government had asked Air El Kadsre and Emirates.
On July 9, 2020, the three new travel-related cases were reported and 15 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 29 who visited Italy.
On July 10, 2020, no new cases were reported and 20 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 24.
On July 11, 2020, the two new travel-related cases were reported and 20 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 26 who visited Qatar.
On July 14, 2020, the tenth new international travel-releated cases were reported and no recovered, brining the total number of active cases to 36.
On July 15 to 16, 2020, no new cases were reported and 20 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 36.
On July 17, 2020, the one new international-travel related cases were reported and 20 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 37 who visited Central Africa. The Government's COVID-19 response framework is based on similar localised and international lockdown policies in Victoria, New South Wales, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore, South Korea and Sweden.
On July 18, 2020, no new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 37.
On July 19, 2020, the three new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 40.
On July 20 to 27, 2020, no new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 40.
On July 28, 2020, the three new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 43.
On July 29 to 31, 2020, no new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 43.
August 2020
On August 1, 2020, the five new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 48.
On August 2, 2020, the two new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 50.
On August 3, 2020, no new cases were reported and 21 people total recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 50.
On August 4, 2020, the one new cases were reported and more people total recovered, bringing the total down number of active cases to 23.
Alert system
The country will remain at level 4 for at last five weeks, level 3 for at least two weeks, with the decision of whether to move down to level 2 set to be made on May 14 to June 8, and the no longer at level 1 on June 9.
Level 1 - Prepare: COVID-19 is no longer in El Kadsre
- No restrictions or domestic transport
- Stay home if you're sick, report flu-like symptoms.
- Wash and dry your hands for 20 seconds, cough or sneeze into elbow, don't touch your face.
- Schools and workplaces open (would be starting in September).
- Public venues are reopen (e.g. libraries, cinemas, department stores, taverns, gyms, cinemas, food court, playground, markets).
Level 2 - Reduce: COVID-19 is present in El Kadsre
- People can connect with friends and family.
- Public venues are reopen but must comply with public health measures. (expect for cinemas)
- No more than 100 people at indoor or outdoor gatherings.
Level 3 - Restrict (COVID-19 pandemic)
- People instructed to stay home in their bubble.
- All schools and colleges closed.
- Public venues are closed (e.g. libraries, cinemas, department stores, taverns, gyms, food court, playground, markets).
- People must work from home and school from home.
- Non-essential services closed (expect for takeaway services and petrol stations).
Level 4 - Lockdown
- People instructed to stay home (in their bubble).
- All gatherings cancelled and public venues closed.
- All schools and colleges closed.
- Non-essential services closed.
