The Cadasa Television Service (Cadasan: Penyiaran Televisyon Cadasa; PTC) is the national television broadcaster and oldest television network in Cadasa. Its main headquarters is in the Cadasa Broadcasting Tower, New Cadasa, Cadasa, with other offices in Selamat, Lang Cit, Camatanam City and Nan Tung.

PTC monopolized television broadcasting in the country until March 15, 1991, when Penyiaran Nagarayyat Tigres, the first commericial TV station, came on the air.

PTC currently broadcasts throughout the country with both analog and digital means of broadcast. PTC operates four national channels (with three of them only broadcasting in digital) as well as 38 regional stations and 421 transmitters.

History[]

PTC was founded on Christmas Eve 1956, and came on the air at 09:00 January 1, 1957, led by politician Peter Wijoyo, who had been campaigning for a television network since 1951. Wijoyo wanted television to be launched by 1953, but it failed because it was too expensive to set up a TV station. However, television sets were imported from Baratlamuri to Haql Province in 1954, opening new opportunities for the establishment of television in Cadasa. PTC became part of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the government in 1969.

PTC started to broadcast in colour in 1980. In 1991, PTC, which had been the sole TV network since its founding, lost its monopoly rights when Penyiaran Nagarayyat Harimau (PNH) came on the air.
