The Canada-New England Actors Agreement was an agreement signed in 1998 between the AFTRA New England Local and ACTRA which allows Canadian producers to film and produce media in the New England region using New England talent without having to deal with the restrictions caused by Canadian Content regulations. Currently, the agreement is held between the SAG-AFTRA New England Local, ACTRA, UDA, and CLAC.
Benefits[]
During a brief period, Nelvana outsourced voice recording to Boston-based companies to save money and benefit from the agreement. Talent was provided by Boston-based anime licensing company New England Anime Inc. who arranged recording facility rental and other talent-related work.
