Captain Bluebear Club is the El Kadsreian English dub of the German series Käpt’n Blaubär Club dubbed by Power Network and distributed by PPE Entertainment and aired on El TV Kadsre 1's El TV Kadsre Kids block from 1994 to 1996 and on Banushen Television's Saturday Banushen block from 1996 to 2002.
History[]
In 1994, a start-up company, PPE Entertainment agreed to distribute dubs of the 1979 Doraemon anime, as well as a dub of a German series, which was renamed to Captain Bluebear Club. Banushen Television decided against broadcasting it, because of commitments to Power Networks dub of the Doraemon anime. El TV Kadsre's Darren Cody picked the dub of the German series up which aired on El TV Kadsre 1's El TV Kadsre for Kids block..
In August 1996, it was moved from El TV Kadsre 1's El TV Kadsre Kids block to Banushen Television's Saturday Banushen block, which caused Blue's Clues to delay from its scheduled September 1996 date to early 1997, and placed in the timeslot intended for Blue's Clues (this happened at the same time Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was delayed from its scheduled October 1996 date to early 1997 and placed The Single Guy, which moved over from CPN in its intended timeslot planned for Sabrina).
