Trivia[]

  • The main Angelina Ballerina costume has the same design and look as the one used for Mattel's Character Events Program and the early years of the Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy franchise.
  • The Sagwa, Classic Angelina Ballerina, Redwall, Blazing Dragons, Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, Warriors, and Toad Patrol walk-arounds have the same designs and looks as those used in Latikuu Edacra's Character Appearances Program (the Sagwa costumes were built by VEE Costumes & Creatures, the rest were built by Fuse Special Effects). There are some differences, noticeably the Fiver costume is taller and thinner to accommodate varying performer heights & weights.
  • The original Grumpy Bear and Cheer Bear walkarounds used up until 2003 and the V1 Mario and V1 Luigi walkarounds are on display in the Carwardine Parks offices at Carwardine Colony.
  • The V5 Mario and V5 Luigi costumes are the same as the current Nintendo Mario promotional costumes.
  • The Baby Bop costume had the inside of the head autographed by Julie Johnson (Baby Bop's voice actress).
  • The V1 Mario costume from 1990 had 3 copies, which were used for the meet & greets, parades and walk-arounds respectively, the first costume was originally in storage at the studios, but most of the costume was recycled for fabric during a major renovation of the studios back in 2006 (the head was kept for training new performers), the second is currently on display in the Carwardine Parks offices, and the third was sold on eBay in 2012.
  • The V5 Mario was first tested in 2009 at the Carwarween event that year, but after it's success, it became permanent in 2010.
  • The KCL V1 Mario is the same version that was used in the commercial of Super Smash Bros. for the N64. This version had one costume that was slightly off model from the others, with Mario having smaller pupils, it is rumored that it was a prototype costume.
  • The KCL V2 Mario is the same version that was used in several Mario GameCube commercials.
  • The V2 Mario was the last Mario costume to be exclusive to Carwardine Parks.
    • For one costume, This one's body would be used with the KCL V1 head after another park's KCL V1 only came with the head and not the body.
  • The V1 and earlier V2 costumes for Luigi were simply reskins of Mario's costume with his mustache, green clothes and an "L" instead of an "M" on the cap, Luigi has had a unique head sculpt since 1998.
  • The "mascot" Sailor Scouts costumes, the current "mascot" Bratz costumes, the "mascot" Winx Club costumes, the "mascot" Pokémon humans costumes, the "mascot" Zero Suit Samus Aran costume, the Donna and Roberta Tubbs costumes, the Kumiko Albertson costume and the current Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Rosalina costumes are animegao kigurumi costumes.
  • The walkarounds for a few characters (including Diddy Kong (Nintendo), Bowser Jr. (also Nintendo), Twink (Rainbow Brite), Portia Porcupine (The Get-Along Gang), Pom Pom (Bluey), Stewie Griffin (Family Guy), Rogu Smith (American Dad!), Ma-san (PaRappa the Rapper), and Fu-Fu (Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat)), were designed to be small enough that Carwardine hires performers who are 4-5 feet tall to perform those characters.
  • The walkarounds are all equipped with "panic devices", a special device which, when triggered, alerts staff to respond to an issue with a walkaround performer (e.g. a health emergency, guest altercation, etc.).
