This system is well received, being heavily praised for the DVD features, like DVD-stating (resuming a DVD from when you left off before you ejected it) and mostly well-made games.

- This system is both the first TechEruo console with HDMI and the last TechEruo console with Composite Video-Out.
- This was the first TechEruo console with standard wireless controllers.
- This was the first TechEruo console to have games digitally released in addition to physical copies.
- The console was pronounced "Zee-ex" in the US and Eruowood, but "Zed-ex" in Commonwealth and other PAL territories.
