Chiban (Chinese: 尺半 / Chǐ bàn) is an line of magazines published by Zerona Japan.
It is devoted to reviews of gaming from dominant Taiwanese video game companies, such as Zerona.
The name is also a portmanteau of Chicon and the Chinese letter ban, with the word "Chicon" itself coming from a portmanteau abbreviation of "Child Console" (the Taiwanese name for the Zerona Gaming Device)—the dominant gaming computer in Taiwan during the 1970s.
As of 2019, over 6,000 reviews have been published, 954 review collections made, and has garnered more than 954 million subscribers worldwide.
Since 1987, the American version of Chiban is an TV show called Chiban Review Works.
