Chiclick is a streaming service owned and operated by ComuChi Multimédia. It launched in Portugal on May 27, 2016.
The service streams Anime series and movies and also other East Asian series and movies. Much of the available content comes from the international television channel Chiclete, also managed by ComuChi.
History[]
Launch[]
The first attempt to distribute the company's content over the internet was in July 2013, when Chiclete and RTP streaming service (RTP Play) signed an agreement to broadcast the channel on-demand and make some of its content available on the platform and on free-to-air TV through RTP2. Despite this, to access Chiclete content it would have to be paid the amount of €2.95/month, unlike other RTP channels and content which are all free.
As of May 2016, started the purchasing of Crunchyroll's operations in some countries from Africa, Asia and Europe, beginning in Portugal, where it was replaced by Chiclick on the 27th.
On January 10, 2017, the service replaced Crunchyroll in Andorra, Angola, Balearic Islands, Cape Verde, Catalonia, Galicia, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Valencian Community. In other autonomous communities of Spain, Crunchyroll continues to be present. The same thing happens in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro and Romania on November 7th and in Croatia, Denmark, Georgia, Iceland, Finland, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden on December 8th.
On December 3, 2018, Chiclick replaced Crunchyroll in Bhutan, Cambodia, East Timor, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Macau, Morocco, Nepal, Poland, Singapore and Tunisia. In the Baltic States, Crunchyroll and now Chiclick content have been distributed by Viaplay; Similarly, in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand the content is available through Viu, in Mongolia through VOO, in Kazakhstan and Ukraine through MEGOGO, in Taiwan through LiTV and in Vietnam through FPT Play. Also in December, Chiclete arrived in East Timor, Macau and Mongolia.
On March 20, 2020, Bulgaria and North Macedonia also received Chiclick with the replacement of Crunchyroll. On the same day, the Baltic States, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Philippines and Thailand no longer have to receive content through third-party platforms with the launch of Chiclick in these countries.

Dubs[]
Despite mostly hosting content from the Chiclete channels, the platform also has dubbing partners with the intention of also producing dubs of their languages.
In addition, the platform has more partners as it produces dubs in languages from countries that do not have Chiclete in their language or at all.
All versions can be watched in all countries where the service is available.
Below are listed all partner studios and the languages who receive dubbing.[4]
