Saytan Femi Kubin (b. 27th September, 1973), better known as his stage name DJ Kubin is a Ghanaian-born Kuboian entrepreneur, DJ, musician and hype man. He rose to fame in 1992 at the age of 18 by DJing in various clubs and music festivals in the Jetanie region. Later, in 1997, he became the main producer and hype man for the Jetanie-Kuboian music group Personality. He founded the record label Oyea Records in 1995.

Early life

Saytan Femi Kubin was born on 27th September, 1973 in Accra, Ghana. He and his parents immigrated to Hausekeep, North Kuboia when he was 2 years old.

As a child, Kubin became interested in become a musician. He took singing classes as a teenager, but felt he "did not have the voice of a singer". Instead, he focused on getting a degree in music in Extra School. In 1990, he graduated with a diploma in sound technology.

Personal life

Kubin is a vegetarian and a teetotaller. In February 2012, he announced that he had been sober for ten years.

Kubin has had a total of six children between three women.
