FTV (Filipino Television) is a Filipino-language television channel in the El Kadsreian territory of Taugaran. It broadcast shows, programs, and movies from ABS-CBN and others as part of ABS-CBN affliation since 1990 and owned and operated by PHEK Media, ABS-CBN Corporation, and ABS-CBN International. It is one of the Filipino-lanugage Taugaranese TV channels along with TCTV and Light Television to cater Filipino-Taugaranese audiences. It was launched on August 24, 1989.
History
It was first broadcast on August 24, 1989 by the engineer Meridill Santos. It was first broadcasts with Filipino-language TV shows, series, and movies from ABS-CBN 2, RPN 9, and Regal Films.
The channel was acquired by ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation on August 24, 1990.
