Derek Gareth O'Conor (born May 9, 1957) is a Northern Irish-born American musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist of heavy metal band Thundercrash.
Early life[]
Derek was born in Armagh, Northern Ireland to a American father and Northern Irish mother, both of whom were devout Catholics. In 1964, the family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, United States and then to St. Joseph, Missouri. Derek had appeared on a talent show on KQTV Channel 2 in 1971 at the age of 13. He attended Benton High School.
