Disney Channel Arabic (Arabic: قناة ديزني بالعربية or ديزني شانيل بالعربية) is a pan-Arab free-to-air children's television channel based in Amman and Dubai that is broadcast in the Middle East and North Africa region (excluding Israel, Iran, Turkey and Cyprus), and it is one of two Arabic-language versions of Disney Channel, the other being Disney Channel MENA which is available in multiple languages including Arabic and English. The channel was launched on July 15, 2017, coinciding with the opening of Disney Channels Worldwide's offices in Jordan Media City and Dubai Media City, and broadcasts via Arabsat Badr-7, Nilesat and Hot Bird 10. Disney Channel Arabic's offices in Amman are part of Disney's development investment in Jordan, which also includes the Amman Disneyland Resort (opened in 2018) and the Disney Vacation Club resort Almas in Aqaba (opened in 2020), as well as entertainment projects in the country including Disney-owned The Muppets Studio's participation in both editions of the Jim Henson's World in Amman concert event.

Disney Channel Arabic is considered to be a free-to-air alternative to Disney Channel MENA, despite the varying differences in programming, schedules, and available languages.

Overview[]

Animated programs aired include Disney productions as well as programs produced by other studios such as Seagrounds, The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, 9 Story, WildBrain, Nelvana, MGM and 20th Century Studios. All dubbed versions are produced by studios in Cairo, Amman, Tunis and Beirut. Almost all shows are dubbed in Modern Standard Arabic or Egyptian Arabic. The channel is only available in Arabic, with no choice to switch to English or any other languages. This is due to the fact that the channel is a free-to-air TV channel aimed solely at an Arabic-speaking audience. Disney Channel Arabic also offers localized shows such as Good Luck Taslima, The Suite Life of Faheem & Faizan, Class Change, and Wizards of Wissem Walk, which are the result of various partnership deals with local production companies, including Jordan's Rubicon and Al-Kamira and Kuwait's SphereEye Media. The channel often edits certain programs for content, cutting out certain scenes from them.

In 2020, Disney Channel Israel and Disney Channel Arabic co-produced & aired the multilingual special Two Voices for Peace.
