Docomo Northeast is a joint venture of Canadian media conglomerate KTY Media Group and Japanese mobile phone operator NTT Docomo headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire. It provides mobile, television, internet and telephone services to customers in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. In 2019, Docomo Northeast began providing VPN services to its customers through a partnership with MagnumVPN.
The company was formed through a legal settlement following a hostile takeover attempt of KTY USA Inc. by NTT Docomo, a spin-off of Japanese communication company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone.
In November 2016, Docomo Northeast licensed Comcast's X1 platform (which features more extensive integration of video streaming apps, and a voice control remote) for usage in a new platform called DoCoGo; it was deployed to most of the company's digital cable customers by March 2017.
