Dominus is the second English language studio album, fifth overall, by Ostlandic singer-songwriter Kadir Halversson. It was released on 17 August 2012 by Saturn Records and distributed internationally by Universal. The album was released after Halversson's participation in the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, where he represented his country and placed second in the Grand Final.
Singles[]
The first single from the album was released in English and Ostlandic at the same time, as a double A-side "Cassanova" / "Hjertsprikker". The single was released weeks before of the Groups' phase from Musikk Fest 2012. Its music video was released on the day of Halversson's performance on Group B's date, on 5 February 2012. The song debuted within the top 40 some charts after its release, including the number 20 in Ostland. Hoewever, the song reached new peaks after Halversson's performance in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. It became the first song from the Eurovision Song Contest to debut in the US Billboard Hot 100. It later peaked within the top 10, at number seven, on the issued week of 11 August 2012.
After Halversson's participation in Eurovision, he released the second single from the album, "Dominus". It was released on 25 May 2012. The song had an instant good reception from the public, following the dance-pop, funk-influenced Electronic sound from the previous single. It debuted at number five in the Ostlandic Top 100, and peaked atop three weeks later.
