Drop the Puck was a short-lived EKHL-sponsored-and-themed childrens' game show invented by Takahiro Koizumi.

Gameplay[]

Three teams of four compete in a hockey-typed game of knowledge & stunts.

The First Three Periods[]

The team in control had up to three chances to reach the nets (with the puck starting out in the neutral zone). They did that by answering questions in three questions correctly in three categories: "Hit", "Swat", and "Defend".

Missing a Hit question costs the team a point on the scoreboards.

A team can also go for a Puck Drop by answering a question about El Kadsreian culture or history.

Once a team missed all "Hits" or flunked a "Defend", their turn would end and the opposing team would gain control.

Each team wins a point on the scoreboard each time they hit the net. A "Glass Smash" was worth four points, and a "Net Dodge" was worth six points. A team that scored a "Net Dodge" also won the right to try for an "Extra Point" by playing a puzzle-themed and/or stunt-oriented game.

Final Round: Aftermath of the Game[]

In the final round, "Aftermath of the Game", each team had 1 minute to swat as many pucks into the nets as possible with each puck hitting the net being worth six points, it wasn't easy as the nets swapped at random. The team with the most points at the end won the game and earned prizes. The usual winning prizes included the EKHL Hockey Book, plus Swatch watches and a Theorysonic Codear (later episodes had a Theorysonic 3DO). The losing team gets a consolation prize of free tickets to the taping week's scheduled EKHL games.
