Duggo Studios is an Australian-Canadian content company. It handles production and distribution of programmes broadcast on the third-party broadcasters.
History[]

Duggo Studios was founded in 1977 by Canadian voice actor and cartoonist Claude Harnon in Ontario, Canada. Originally a small independent animation house, the studio gained recognition in the late 1970s and early 1980s for its innovative and character-driven animated shorts, which were featured on several Canadian and Australian television networks.
In the 1980s, Duggo Studios expanded operations to Sydney, Australia, marking the beginning of its dual-headquarters structure and solidifying its identity as a transnational content company. This move allowed Duggo to tap into both North American and Asia-Pacific markets, increasing its international visibility.
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Duggo Studios developed a reputation for co-producing children’s and family programming with major broadcasters and independent creators. It became known for its diverse storytelling, often blending slapstick humor with heartwarming narratives.
The company underwent a major transformation in the late 2000s, transitioning from a small production house into a multi-division studio. During this time, it formed several sub-labels and divisions—such as Bigbeau Animation, Chergekers Studios, and Livefruit Television—to diversify its portfolio and specialize in various animation styles and target audiences.
By the 2010s, Duggo Studios had become a subsidiary of a larger media conglomerate (ownership details can be added if known), giving it access to broader distribution channels and global partnerships. The studio focused on digital-first content and expanded its offerings to include streaming platforms.
As of today, Duggo Studios continues to operate globally, producing a wide range of animated series and specials, and remains a key player in the children’s television industry.
