EKRail (reporting mark EKR) is a private railroad operator in El Kadsre and North El Kadsre. With 21,802 miles of trackage (12,345 in El Kadsre and 9,457 in North El Kadsre), it is the largest railroad operator in the El Kadsreian Islands.
Most of the lines in El Kadsre and North El Kadsre are 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) standard gauge lines, however some of the lines around Mount Capulco are 610 mm (2 ft) narrow gauge and 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) broad gauge lines (at times being multigauge to allow operations of standard gauge, narrow gauge and broad gauge engines), whilst also operating a 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in) Irish gauge line to serve the Nishimoshi Mines in North El Kadsre.
EKRail began operating in 1990 following the privatization of Vlokouzian State Railways and the short-lived nationalization of some privately-owned lines by the United El Kadsreian Nations. EKRail got the lines in El Kadsre and North El Kadsre, Vicnoran Railways got the lines in Vicnora, the Mahri Oceanic Railway got the lines in Mahri, Sentanese Rail Transport got the lines in Sentan, and Magic Rail got the lines in Screencold and Line. The El Kadsreian lines cover both states while the North El Kadsreian lines cover all of the country. Currently, Kentsei owns 85% and Norfolk Southern Corporation owns 65% of the company.
EKRail inherited most of Vlokouzian State Railways' locomotives and rolling stock.
The railroad uses LORAM Rail Grinders for track repair and maintenance, and they are known in the pop culture of the two El Kadsres as a result of their yellow coloring and boxy shaping.
In 2017, EKRail purchased rolling stock and locomotives from Transkentucky Transportation.
