ERPT 1 is the flagship network of Eruowood Public Television. It broadcasts drama, comedy, animated series, news, soap operas, and more. The network was launched in July of 1969.
History[]
In 1968, a group known as Eruowood Public Television was set up, with the aim to help launch the first major television channel in Eruowood of Eruowoodian origin in 1969.
ERPT 1 was officially launched on July 22, 1969, with the first program being a news report, with coverage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, which had happened two days prior to the channel's launch.
To this day, ERPT 1 is known as the flagship TV channel of Eruowood and the ERPT family.
In December of 2007, the channel switched their aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, so that digital, cable, & satellite viewers could watch programs in 16:9.
On January 2, 2010, ERPT 1 stopped broadcasting in analog, and became only available on digital, cable, and satellite, this was part of the digital switch over across the country.
