El Kadsre Emergency Public Alert System

The El Kadsre Emergency Public Alert System is a system used in El Kadsre and it's territories, whereby local or municipal authorities can warn the public about impending or current emergencies affecting their area.

The EKEPWS can be activated by local police, fire, and environmental agencies; by the El Kadsreian Weather Bureau; and by other authorities, as required. It can be activated for any of the following reasons:

• Severe weather

• Flood
• Wildfire
• Hazardous material release
• Terrorist threat
• Water contamination
• AMBER Alert
• Other threats to life, property and safety.

History

The EKEPWS was launched in 1992. Initially operated by Radio Network United El Kadsreian Nations using a system of pieces of Code-A-Phone telephone equipment hooked up to custom-designed signal intrusion device. In 2001, it was switched to custom, purpose-built, Windows NT/2000 PCs employing custom-designed graphics/sound expansion cards and remote signal intrusion circuits, which was then replaced in 2011 by digital custom, purpose-built, Windows XP PCs employing custom-designed graphics/sound expansion cards and remote signal intrusion circuits as analog television signals shut off in El Kadsre
