Europe TV Audio GesmbH is a Austrian dubbing studio based in Vienna, dedicated to German-language dubbing. It was founded in 1988 by Ewald Hölscher.
History[]
In 1982, some American & British companies began using Austria as a location for dubbing films into German for the West Germany market to forgo the cost of dubbing in West Berlin, Munich or Hamburg, often going with the company Cine-Wien Synchronstudio, at RKO Pictures' Cine-Wien studios outside Vienna.
Among the actors performing in these dubs was Ewald Hölsch I (1920-1998) of Salzburg. In 1988, he founded his own dubbing studio, Europe TV Audio, in association with a group of local investors.
