Geno-7's Lightning Striker is a steel roller coaster located at Alex McCufferty's Wonderworld in Camberley, England. It is based on the character of the same name in "The Grid" franchise by Ur-Deep Filmworks and it opened on May 20th, 2015 as part of a £100 million area themed to the aforementioned series. The ride's layout is similar to Karacho at Erlebnispark Tripsdrill in Germany, except longer and slightly shorter and faster.
Ride Experience[]
Once all riders are strapped in, the ride dispatches into a section in the dark while the station's lights flash yellow. Electrical and thunderous sound effects are heard in the distance and yellow thunderbolts light up when the ride goes into a short drop and a heartline roll up to the ride's block brakes. Geno is heard saying: "You're in...FOR A SHOCK!" along with his signature laugh and the train goes into a rolling LSM launch going from 0-57 mph in 1.5 seconds out a strobing and thunderous tunnel and into an outside top hat and corkscrew element. It then traverses into a few turns and twists and into a brake run, It leads into a few more airtime hills and into the last two inversions, a dive loop inside another tunnel and another heartline roll before entering the final brake run into another tunnel with lightning decals. Geno, once again is also heard saying: "THAT WAS ONLY BUT A TASTE OF MY POWER! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT YET!". Riders would then exit on their right and collect their loose belongings.
