Giorgio Ancona (born May 13, 1966) is an Italian puppeteer, voice actor and actor. At age 18, he began his Muppet work on I Fraggle. He is best known for being the second performer of Dionigi in Strada Sesamo following Piersanti Ajmone-Marsan, who had the left the series to focus on his voice acting career. He performed Dionigi from 1986-1991.
In 1991, he joined the French Foreign Legion and participated in operations in Cambodia and Somalia, as well as peacekeeping operations in Sarajevo. He was succeeded in the role by Fausto Fünten. He returned to the show in 1995 and has mainly done various crew work (such as being an Episode Director, Character Wrangler, Character Shop Manager and or Puppeteer Coach). His most notable roles since then have included Dionigi's grandmother in Sesamo d'Infanzia.
