H Street are a Chinese-American R&B vocal group formed in 1987 in Chinatown, Washington, D.C. by Baxter Wu, Adam Tow, Marshall Yung, and Lee Soohoo. H Street were the first Asian American R&B group to achieve commercial success, with their songs "The Promise" and "Be My Savior", introduced to urban radio by WBLS, charting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The group disbanded in 1999, but reunited in 2003.
