Hayato Nakahara (中原隼人 Nakahara Hayato; January 5, 1953-January 12, 1980) was an El Kadsreian actor. He is known for playing Ryo Johnny in the 1973 drama film Meredith.
In 1979, Nakahara was picked to portray Jiro Fujioka aka. Tahu in Quest for the Masks. On January 12, 1980, three months after filming of Quest for the Masks began, he was killed in a car crash along with his girlfriend, while driving back to El Kadsre City. After his death, he was later replaced by Hideki Hamasaki and scenes that were filmed in the movie were shot again with Hamasaki. His death is credited with spawning the myth of the Technic curse.
