He-Man: Orko is a 2004 live-action/animated adventure fantasy comedy film directed by Brad Bird and Edgar Wright. Written by Kirk De Micco and Tim McCanlies and based on the Masters of the Universe toyline, the film stars Jim Carrey, Mel Gibson, Mike Myers, Simon Pegg, Ice-T, Howie Long, Holly Hunter and Krista Allen in their lead roles, while Gabe Khouth voices the titular character.
The film was a box office success, grossing over $330 million worldwide. It was the highest-grossing film of 2004 and the highest-grossing installment in the Masters of the Universe franchise overall. The film was adapted into a video game adaptation of the same name, developed by LucasArts and published by Vivendi Universal Games on October 28, 2004.
Plot synopsis[]
It is a normal day for everyone, until filmmaker Travis William Powers, video game designer James Edgar Powers and former British-American spy Jonathan Powers notice and greet a Trollan named Orko, during their trip to England.
With the assistance of He-Man, Teela and the Trollans, the three Powerses and Bailey Thomson pursue a ruthless swordsman named Austin Vega who uses his knowledge of sword procedure to steal and sell confiscated swords and ammunition to local movie actors.
