Hiroyuki Tezuka (Japanese: 手塚寛幸, Hepburn: Tezuka Hiroyuki) was a Burbank-based Japanese actor, composer and production manager who joined Crossover Films Co., Ltd. in 1970. He was the young cousin of Osamu Tezuka.

He was married to actress and composer Sanae Takagi.

Bio[]

Tezuka was born on October 2, 1935 in Yonezawa, Yamagata.

In 1963, Tezuka started his acting career. He starred in more than 200 films and TV drama.

In 1968, Tezuka married fellow actress and composer Sanae Takagi. One year later, they went into a trip to Burbank, California. He joined Crossover Films Co., Ltd. as a production manager in 1970.

In October 1971, Tezuka went to Hong Kong to start his music composing career. He is best known for his film score/orchestral works on martial arts films from 1972 to 1979. In 1980, he went back to Burbank, California to continue serving as a production manager for Crossover Films.

Tezuka died on January 14, 2023 at the age of 87.
