Production and release

Sung Gim, Matt Lee, and Pasi Peure came up with Hunterbots on a visit to Azerbaijan in 2012. After Sung returned to El TV Kadsre in 2013 (her official return to them was in 2016), Lee wrote the script and designed the robot characters in a period of 2 months in that same year.

Casting was done in 2014, with Pedro Tchividjian and Christopher Von Meyer announced as cast members on ETVKK by JP Reeve on March 1, 2015. Filming began two days later, with filming done in El Kadsre City, the Ikeda Islands, Romrac, Eirabourne, Melbourne and Sydney. The scenes at Bož Bo Petrović's laboratory were filmed at the EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina and the scenes at the Hunterbots command center were filmed in the El TV Kadsre Français studios in Romrac.

The Hunterbots' robot form costumes were created by Charactorium, whilst some of the fight scenes were animated using stop motion by Screen Novelties.
