"In the End" is the debut single by Kuboian lipstick rap group Too Plus Two taken from their mixtape The New Generation Vol. 1. Produced by Nu-Tune, it is credited as being one of the first singles under the lipstick rap genre. It was released in October 1998 under the independent label +1 Records, and eventually reached number nine on the Karuboia charts after significant radio airplay and promotion.

Background

"In the End" was one of the sixteen tracks recorded for the mixtape The New Generation Vol. 1. All of the instrumentals on the mixtape were composed by underground musicians, with nearly all of the tracks being written entirely by Too Plus Two's members TooToo, Lucy-Leah and Knowitall. The instrumental for "In the End" was produced by Nu-Tune, another signee of +1 Records, and was originally called "Violin Bop".

"In the End" was originally released under a promitional white label vinyl in April 1998 in order to promote the upcoming release of The New Generation Vol. 1, which occured several months later. It was later released as an offical single on 4th October, 1998.
