Jimmy MacAskill (born May 13, 1967) is an Australian actor and mime. Jimmy, who has achondroplasia, became an actor while attending the University of Canberra.
Jimmy was born in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. He currently resides in Sydney, New South Wales with his wife. Although his parents and his sister, ballerina Samantha MacAskill, are of average height, Jimmy currently stands at 3 ft 8 in (1.12 m).
In 1999, Jimmy applied for a job as a cast-member with the then-upcoming Disneyland Sydney park. He was hired soon after along with his sister Samantha and they soon became regular performers in the park.
He became a Disney Legend in 2017.
- He played Chip during Mickey Mouse 'Round The World and Dale in Mickey's Party at Disneyland Sydney. He also played Toulouse from The Aristocats in his brief appearance in Kids for Character: We Are Family. He also performed "Tiny Taylor" in the Disneyland Sydney version of Golden Horseshoe Revue.
- He and his sister both worked at Disneyland Sydney from 2000-2005, he quit to go work in Disney's showbiz division (On Ice, Broadway, etc.), his sister continued her ballet career.
- He is the shortest person to be a Disney Legend.
