Joshua Stephens Casey (born February 28, 1966), known professionally as Joshua von Schweetz, is an American comedian and television presenter primarily based in El Kadsre. He has been an ETVKK presenter since 2000. As of 2022, his VidSpace account (jvschweetz) has 1.36 million subscribers. He currently hosts Year of the Horse with Joshua von Schweetz for ETVKK After Hours.
Life and career[]
Joshua Stephens Casey was born in Rochester, New York and came to Boston on a Boston University scholarship. He participated in some early Gotaku dubs and did stand-up comedy under his real name of Joshua Stephens Casey to pay for his student loans.
Casey was the star, creator and co-producer of the direct-to-video comedy sketch series Schweetzman, which was first released from 1993-1996 for 4 seasons.
In 2000, he became an ETVKK presenter at the invite of JP Reeve after he stumbled upon one of his Schweetzman VHS tapes. He ended up producing two more seasons of Schweetzman the same year.
In 2018, Joshua returned to stand-up comedy for the first time in two decades for a one-off special, Please Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself.
