KBG is a Kuboian free-to-air television and radio network owned by the KBG. It originally launched on 8th January 1973 as a radio service before launching as a television channel on 9th January 1984. It was originally funded by a television license until 1989, where it has been funded through government grants.
Both the radio and television channel are, for the most part, news services focusing on both national and international news, politics and current affairs. KBG is commercial-free, and does not air normal programming, with its schedule instead separated into blocks that run multiple hours long. Although the service was initially centred around news regarding the Kuboian Independence Movement and growing movements regarding Kuboian culture, it has expanded its range of programming to include other content such as documentaries, music and sports programming.
