Kermit's Magic Hour was a planned television series developed by Jim Henson Productions and Fox Television Stations in 1988. Jim Henson produced & directed a pilot episode for FOX, however it was not picked up due to monetary issues. Netherless, the pilot was aired as a half-hour special on FOX in August 1988.
The pilot was taped at Northstar International Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (this is because the Province of British Columbia offered Henson a tax credit if he did a Muppet and/or Creature Shop production in the Vancouver area).
